HVAC Google Ads management

Search ads that put your phone number in front of people with a broken AC, a dead furnace or a system that is due. Built to book calls, not collect clicks.

Google Ads is where HVAC calls are bought

When a homeowner types "AC repair near me" they want someone today. Google Ads puts you at the top of that search the day the campaign goes live. The work is making sure the money goes to those searches and not to people looking for a job, a part or a DIY video.

We have managed $3.8M in Google Ads for HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies across 19 accounts, from single-truck shops to an HVAC company with three locations. Nathan Synoground builds and checks the accounts himself.

  • Separate campaigns for repair, replacement and maintenance
  • Call tracking that ties each booked job to a search
  • Search terms read every week, junk cut every week
  • Ads that run when your phones are answered

How we run an HVAC Google Ads account

The same order every time, because each step depends on the last.

  1. Fix the tracking

Calls from ads, calls from the site and form fills all counted, with booked jobs marked. Without this every other decision is a guess.

  2. Split by job type

Emergency repair, system replacement and tune-ups get their own campaigns, budgets and ads, because they are worth very different amounts to you.

  3. Cut the waste

We read the search terms and block the jobs-seekers, parts buyers, DIY searches and towns you do not serve.

  4. Match the landing page

A repair click lands on a repair page with your number at the top. A replacement click lands on a page that sells the estimate.

  5. Shift money weekly

Budget follows what books. When the heat breaks, repair gets more. In the shoulder months, replacement and plans do.

What we check in every HVAC account

Most of what goes wrong in an HVAC account is in one of these. Each links to a longer guide.

Questions we hear

How fast do Google Ads bring HVAC calls?

Ads can show the day they are approved, so the first calls can come the same week. Getting the cost per booked job down takes longer, because it needs real search term and call data to tune against.

Do we need a separate campaign for emergency repair?

Yes. An emergency search at night is worth more than a price-shopping search for a new system, and it needs different ads, hours and bids. Lumping them together lets the cheap clicks eat the budget.

Should we use Performance Max for HVAC?

Sometimes, after search is working and tracking counts booked jobs. Performance Max chases whatever you tell it is a conversion, so with weak tracking it finds cheap, low-quality leads fast.

Who owns the Google Ads account?

You do. We work inside an account in your name, so the history and data stay with you if you ever leave.

Do you also run Google Ads for plumbing and electrical?

Yes. Our trades numbers cover HVAC, plumbing and electrical together: $3.8M across 19 companies.
